The 6th Annual African Archaeology Research Day

The 6th Annual African Archaeology Research Day will be held on Saturday, 10th October 2009 at the International Slavery Museum. The registration fee, which includes lunch and refreshments, will be £10 (£5 students, proof of status required). Please click here to register. There will be two parallel sessions, each comprising 15 minute papers (with 5 minutes for questions). If you would like to present your research, please email your title and a 250-word abstract to AARD09@ljmu.ac.uk The day will also include a public lecture by Dr Kevin MacDonald, of the Institute of Archaeology, UCL entitled, ‘Beyond Shackles: towards an archaeology of the peoples of the African Diaspora.’ The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is 4th September 2009.
