Check your equality & diversity details
08 February 2010Members of staff are requested to check and amend, if necessary, their equality & diversity details that are held on Staff Infobase.
Your equality and diversity details are held on two screens in Employee Self Service.
- To check/amend your ethnicity and/or nationality you need to access your Personal Information from the home page.
On your basic details screen please follow the tip text: 'to check/amend your Ethnicity/Nationality please click the update button, then click the next button'
- For all other strands of equality, please select the Equal Opportunities menu item in Employee Self Service.
A user training guide is available to assist you in checking and/or amending your equality and diversity details, this can be found to the right of the infobase homepage under Favourites. Click ‘User Training Guides’, expand the ‘Employee Self Service’ topic then at the bottom you will find ‘Editing Equal Opportunities Information’, this will give you a step-by-step guide on how to make the changes.
Equality and diversity data is sensitive and will be used for monitoring purposes only. It will be kept confidential, your Manager will not be able to view this and HR will not disclose it to them, however in this open an transparent culture we have at LJMU you are encouraged to share this information with your Manager if you feel it may benefit your working life.
