Susan Cotton Travel Awards 2010

Open to 2nd Year Students and MA students in the School of Art and Design.

This Years Awards,
3 x £1,400 and 2 x £2,200

Applicants should submit a covering letter together with a statement of intent (no more than one side of A4) including a summary of their current work and interests, and an outline of what they would do with the award and why. They should also indicate how the award would make a difference to their academic and personal development.

The Art of Nurture Competition

Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance in partnership with Arts and Business are running a competition open to undergraduates and postgraduates, encouraging students to produce a piece of artwork which could be used as part of the national advertising campaign.

Regional finalists will receive a prize of £250 with funding matched for the University. The overall National Winner will receive £5000, second place, £2000 and third place £1000 with matched amounts for the University.

Additionally the national winner and runners up will be given the opportunity to attend an optional work placement during Summer 2010. The national winner and runners up may also see their work used in Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance direct marketing, press advertising and online campaigns during 2010/11 will full accreditation.

Applicants will need to produce a piece of 2D non-photographic visual art that would support and illustrate a series of themes set by the competition including: working together/support, innovation/originality, 2012 Olympics and sustainable relationships.
