Master of Laws in Legal Practice
Convert your existing LPC Postgraduate Diploma to LLM
The LJMU Law School now offers the Master of Laws in Legal Practice, a ‘top up’ degree that allows participants to convert their existing LPC Postgraduate Diploma into a fully-fledged LLM.
The programme will commence in September 2008.
The LLM in Legal Practice is a high quality, flexible programme of study which aims to develop in participants high order critical and analytical skills in areas of legal practice. The areas of study are determined by the participant and tailored to suit his or her individual needs.
Participants are required to undertake a short period of formal study during which they will prepare a dissertation proposal, followed by a longer period of free study during which they will complete a 20,000 word dissertation.
The programme is available full time (10 months) or part time (16 months). Classes are scheduled to run on Wednesday afternoons from September – November 2008. Beyond this, participants will organise their own studies, albeit with full academic support.
